was constituted by the registered Trust Deed in 2009 dedicated to the enhanced health, education, women’s empowerment, livelihood, and wellbeing of individuals and communities in India, irrespective of caste, creed or religion.

A philanthropic organization called Azima Education & Welfare Trust (AEWT) is legally registered. Non- profit, Educational & Social Charitable organization with all India Jurisdiction. Trust gave emphasis to work in rural / urban areas for the benefit of the target community in India.

Azima Education & Welfare Trust has been recognized by the Government of India.

PROJECTS OF AZIMA EDUCATION & WELFARE TRUST

MSM HIV/TG – The organization initiated a project called Male to Male Sex (MSM) HIV/ Transgender Project at New Ashok Nagar, East Delhi from September 2009 to June 2014. The objective of this programme was to reverse the epidemic of HIV/AIDS.

This project has covered 1000 beneficiaries around the area and provided them different services like spreading awareness about HIV AIDS, the risks involved in unsafe sex, promotion of condoms during sexual activities, counseling and STI treatment, referral to ICTC for HIV testing and providing them continuum care. Also support them if they are detected HIV positive.

Due to the stigma attached with the MSMs, it is very important to provide them an environment where they can share their problems and discuss health issues associated with them. The main focus of the programme has always been to develop safe sexual practices in them and conduct advocacy meetings with different stakeholders so that they feel safe and lead a dignified life. Yet, despite this growth, Azimaedu retains its essential character as an organization involved in people to people interaction. It emphasizes personal involvement, to the extent possible, of volunteers and donors in the lives and activity of the beneficiaries. Such voluntary commitments have enabled to keep administrative expenses to a minimum and ensure that nearly every rupee donated impacts those for whom it was intended.
